WINERY

With the most hours of sunshine and the highest temperature peaks, Andau is known as the heat pole of Austria. It offers as the warmest community, in combination with mineral gravelly soil, the best conditions for ripe and full-bodied wines.

Already under the management of founder, Johann Scheiblhofer, the winery was known, not only for its superior quality wines, but above all for its top red wine "Big John". 

His son, Erich Scheiblhofer, one of the young guards at the forefront, created a further sensation with his top quality red wines and distinctive style.   

With about 85 hectares of land in the best locations around Andau, the winery is one of the larger ones in Burgenland. A positive attitude to life, combined with the joy of what they´re doing, create a unique environment that makes a visit an experience.

The newly built Hall of Legends at the Scheiblhofer winery not only functions as a barrique hall, but also as an exclusive event hall. With a huge sound and lighting system, the hall becomes the perfect location for business events, corporate celebrations and much more.
